Asset

Purpose

The asset is the equipment you want to document and maintain. It has assigned maintenances and attached documents.

Fields

Title

Your asset title should tell what's inside. Therefore, it must be specific and informative to its usage. Note that you're limited to 22 characters.

Description

This is where you can describe the asset more in detail.

State

The state of your asset must tell its condition. The options are in service, maintenance in progress, and out of service. Note that this state will automatically change if you or a technician is doing maintenance on the asset.

You should upload one that allows users to identify your asset. This will be used throughout the application (Web and Mobile).

Grouping (Sector, Floor, Location or Custom)

The grouping feature helps locate your asset within your binder. See this as your separator. Automatically, some are generated from your binder's category. You can edit them to fulfill your needs.

Tag

Tags are there to help you sort assets easily. You can put what you want and filter your asset with these words.

Documents

All documents related to an asset will be placed here. You can put bills, instructions, warranties, and other stuff. You can also group them by type to easily find them later.

Serial number

If you have the serial number of your asset, it's a good idea to put it here. It will help differentiate multiple instances of the same equipment.
